Apologizing on a debate forum is a terrible idea. It shows weakness.

I always apologize if apology is deserved, or if I am PROVEN wrong.

I have ventured into personal attacks before, though I try not to. Some people post entirely based on personal attacks, so they must be dealt with in a language they understand. (not that that justifies it, its just me stating that I rarely personal attack unless provoked repeatedly, and even then, usually apologize to all but who I was attacking)

I don't think apologizing shows weakness in a debate, unless you SHOULD apologize, and don't. Not apologizing when you should shows that you are totally against giving an inch, regardless of what facts are presented to contradict your arguments.

I put a lot of value on respect and integrity, and both of those require a basis of honesty and a lack of hypocrisy.

There are a couple here who have called me a hypocrite, none have proven it, and won't, because I am not.
