An obvious spammer's topic is ok in advertisement and promotion?
You all know he's not here to debate and to take part in discussions!
C'mon! Let's let advertising and promotion belong to us, the debaters.
If this is allowed, the word will get around through spammers (I KNOW!! It's happened to many sites!!) and this topic may be inundated with this crap!
Get rid of it there, too, please!
That's for us to promote OUR stuff. Remember us, the regular posters??

Am I missing something? I don't see Advertising being overloaded with spam. Now I will admit that sometimes it does take us a few minutes to check the posts of new posters and delete them.......but I don't see too many being moved to advertising.

I did, I reported BOTH! One was deleted at the time, and one was left in Advertisement and Promotion. Then after I fussed about it, it disappeared.
I already got a PM from El and NONE of you EVER PMed me about my reported posts! El was fussing at me about reporting it.
Geez, I reported BOTH.
I never got an answer.
I can't believe you people would do this to me.
But then again, this is a forum.

Pook, I expect that the mods are working as hard as they can to quash the spammers. I've reported a bunch of 'em too. Sadly, some manage to get back in after being banned. I'd rather endure a bit of junk than have the mods spending all their time intercepting spam.

I know, I posted about it. Also, it's good to know we only have to report ONE post, rather than chasing the spammer around to report his posts.
That drove me nuts, and if I get carpal tunnel syndrome from it, I'm going to make the mods hand-feed tuna to my cats for the rest of their lives.
