New guy here. I'm an independent politically, but I've been called everything from a right wing nutjob to a flaming liberal. I love to find out what others think/feel on a particular issue, especially those that I disagree with.

Remember that being "in the middle" means that you are always going to be to the left of somebody, and to the right of others, so the arrows will come from both sides. But so long as you come here with your thick-skin, a grain of salt, and that chip on your shoulder, you should be able to call DF home, and have fun.

Welcome, know what you mean about the ruthless partisans, they think anyone who doesn't think what they were told to think is a complete idiot/traitor/etc. There is plenty of that around here, but you will find a decent variety of perspectives if you can sort through the chaff.
