My wife and I moved from Texas to Pennsylvania almost four years ago and are renovating an old house about forty miles northeast of Pittsburgh. My wife is a federal retiree, and I am a retired fabricator/welder, former very small business owner. The summers are very nice here and no mosquitoes.

PA is an overall diverse state with a good amount to offer.
Can I ask what influenced you in your decision to retire in PA?

Should have kept going to Massachusetts. More liberals than you can shake a stick at!

There is nothing wrong with a diverse state Zo. I must say I have friends in institutions in Boston that I have visited, but have not experienced much of what Mass. has to offer.
I want to get to Salem one of these days though. I was reading a Hawthorne biography recently released online and in sparked my interest in the location again.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with a diverse state, I like diverse states.
Though maybe we are talking about different kinds of diversity, as I didn't think I was even referring to diversity in my post.

Our only granddaughter moved to Pennsylvania and we did too to be close to her. We like it here. By the way, my wife and I are both conservative, but are friendly to liberals. Our granddaughter likes Obama.

Welcome to DF McThousand. Been to PA a few times myself, nice state, especially in the more rural areas.
Look forward to seeing you in the debates.

Hello, McThousand. One of my sisters used to live in Uniontown, PA. It's a pretty state, I think.
Just stay out of my litterbox, don't steal my catnip, and we'll get along fine LOL!
Purrs,
Pookie
