I am sure most of the forum members are Americans. So I think they will be able answer a question or two....
So tell me why American men don't want to marry American women anymore and prefer to look for the wives in Russia or in some other countries?

As Elrathin said, the vast majority of American men marry American men, no problem. There are, however, a small number of rich men who are extremely insecure, and decide to use their money to buy themselves a slave. I mean a wife. Although there are certainly some American women who are up for sale, the foreign models tend to be cheaper and less likely to complain when you treat them like shit, especially since they generally don't have a security net of friends and relatives around them to keep them safe. Plus you can get them deported if they get too uppity and start whining about 'rights' and 'basic human dignity'.

Actually it is much worse than that. The main reason some of these people want to marry Russian wives is so the wives sign a prenup agreement.

American women are way too smart to marry some men. Our standards, for the most part, are quite high. Therefore, the dolts and losers who want a slave and are desperate for a wife have to look in other countries where those women will marry anyone for a green card.
We don't marry for money. Russian women, and women from other countries often do. It's a different set of principles, and ours, and very well deserving, are higher than most.

I've heard they serve their husbands more, are more content staying home, and do what they're told. At least that's what the men with Russian wives kept saying on a documentary I saw on it.

It was creepy, there was one couple in particularly that was troubling. They were both very happy. The guy went to Russia because he wanted a woman who did what she was told and because he was about 50 and couldn't find a woman who wanted him. The woman wanted out of Russia after having multiple problems with men.

He was happy because he loved her and she was the traditional servant/wife. She was happy because she was out of Russia and wasn't being abused or neglected. She said she didn't love him but maybe one day she would. She didn't seem to thrilled with his appearance either.

Amen, Alan. It does make one wonder. Also, I wonder if December is married to a Russian woman, or even if he lives in Russia. I hope he answers my question. I think that may shed some light on what he's all about.

I am American, married to a wonderful, caring, loving, responsible, hard-working, thoughtful, selfless, devoted American man. He is funny, creative, animal-loving, tolerant, generous, kind...
Holy crap, there aren't enough words to describe how he is, but one thing about him is, he needs me to be myself, with all my faults and quirks and imperfections. He refused to include the word "obey" in our marriage vows, and instead, he re-wrote that part to say we would both simply love each other and accept each other as we are.
We live in NC, USA, and we have a wonderful relationship built on trust, sharing, and unconditional love.

Maybe that will open the door for December to answer my question. We'll see.

My boss married a Russian woman from the internet.

After many thousands of dollars she and her daughter are here in the states. She has dutifullly placed a ball and chain on both his ankles and she in in the process of wiping out his retirement savings.

I agree, this is a very slim minority. Most men respect women and prefer to remain in their own country rather than import wives. And even if they meet them abroad and bring them over, as long as it is a healthy relationship, I see no issue.

Btw, didn't CWN have a Thai or some sort of Asian wife and bring her over?
