April 24, 2008 --
A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents had told him to shut up, authorities said yesterday. German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.
They had been in the audience to hear the Bushes talk about their children's book, "Read All About It."
"He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, 'What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,' " said John Lovetro. "He was unperturbed. I said, 'Get out of here! You're being a moron!' "
The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen - a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.
"I heard my daughter hysterical yelling, 'He's hitting me!' " said Wendy Lovetro.
"He punched her on the shoulder blades, but that wasn't enough," she said.
"My husband pushed the wheelchair away from him and he reached beyond my husband and began pounding my daughter in the thigh."
The two men fought as the president's family drove off. Cops broke them up and busted Talis on charges of assault and resisting arrest.
Maureen was not seriously injured.
The hate filled left will stop at nothing, including brutalizing the disabled.

This is beyond stupid to suggest that it has anything to do with the left.
That being said, the only source I can find is the NYPost, which makes me question is it even happened.

Well of course you don't believe it. Doesn't fit into your little world.

Damn, the whole "liberals=crazy violent people" argument you're making is both absurd and stupid.

Do you know the politics of the man that did this or are you just ASSuming that he is representative of the left?

Pretty damn good ASSumption if you ask me. Oh, you did ask me.
Let's see. 1) He's filled with rage. 2) Whining about Iraq/Iran. 3) Yelling at two women who happens to be the prez's wife/daughter, 4) Sees helpless wheelchair bound women and in his brave manly kook leftist way pummels the innocent victim.
Yeah, I think the evidence is clear on this one.
If I'm wrong, I'll apologize later.

Sorry but that is not representative of the left and the insinuation of that shows a delusional train of thought.
If I'm wrong, I'll apologize later.
I won't hold my breath.

Well of course you don't believe it. Doesn't fit into your little world.A story copied and pasted from some blog, regarding ONE fool who hits a kid for no reason, and you have the stones to associate this one "alleged" act with everyone who doesn't like Bush.
If that's the best you can come up with, your hatred for anyone who doesn't idolize the President must be based on very little real substance.
But if that's the best you've got, go for it. Everybody has to have their fabricated enemies so they can continue to ignore their OWN side's weaknesses.

Meanwhile, most conservatives still think Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and the price of gas went up 200% lately...
Yeah, this story is important. *roll eyes*

This "story" has no more substance than saying all blue-eyed people are criminals when a single person with blue eyes is caught for a crime. It's idiotic and pathetically weak.

It makes as much sense as saying that Republicans are at fault because of Mark Foley, or Larry Craig, or that Republicans hate America, or that Republicans think that Saddam was responsible for 9/11.

Well, to be fair, a lot of republican voters do seem to think Saddam played a role in 9/11.

No they don't. A few opinion polls suggest that they do, but they really don't.

Probably not, but that doesn't excuse them for helping to mess up Iraq.

Jeez. What does it matter if the guy was left, right, upside down, inside out, or down the middle? Hitting a handicapped person is unacceptable - period, paragraph, end of statement. Whether the guy was anti-Bush, anti-Obama, or anti-Christ hitting a handicapped girl was WRONG and deserves to be punished. I don't give a tinker's damn WHY he did it.

I am seeing a lot of attempts by the hateful left to divert this thread from focusing on the story...which was about a Bush-bashing hate monger who attacked someone in a wheel chair. Let's stay on topic...or I'll have to report you.

If you really believe that has anything to do with it, then I'd strongly advise you not to piss off the bush bashers.

No I see a lot of people saying this isn't a representative of the left, but please don't let that confuse the hatred the right is bringing to this discussion.
What this guy did was bad, what's even worse is there are some on the RABID RIGHT willing to try and pin this on the entire left.

Now now! Everyone knows there is that element of the Left that is infected with Bush Derangement Syndrome...and that's all this is. Some of you have it so bad I am surprised you can even focus your hate on your keyboards. Bush supporters in wheel chairs are in danger everywhere. LOL!

Just for the record, you can report any post of mine you want to, and it still won't make your position and stronger.

Any lib that does this is a crazy nut who doesn't represent the left, but a Republican who did this would automatically be the standard barer for the right.
Oh well...I guess people have to defend their own.

Show me where I am defending this guy Pres?I don't know if I said you ever did.
I feel that many people believe that his opinions are valid.
However...
I think, his free speech rights ended when he started beating on a poor girl in a wheel chair with MS.
I'm sure you and most others would agree.

No disagreement there, but I think saying this guy is somehow representative of the left as some conservatives have said is far fetched.

I must have missed that distinction back then.

I've never said such thing in regards to Mark Foley. In fact I have said numerous time I think the problem is with politicians in general. Both sides of the isle have law breakers.
