Seems the 'experts' are just mouth pieces for the gov't.

I never bought into the former military independent analyst concept in the first place. If you made general/admiral rank, you have already compromised yourself so as to lose a significant amount of credibility with me to begin with. The guys who actually fought on the battlefield get my ear. The brass gets my derision.

I don't think it's the media, unless they KNEW these guys were still in bed with the Pentagon.

That is not to say the media can be trusted. They give us what they think will be good for the ratings, and if the idiot sheep want to hear about Britney and Paris, in between stories about the war, that's what makes the money.
And never forget the "media" are businesses and they are profit oriented. They are NOT a public service!

Most of the time yes, but what about PBS and NPR? Non-profit, non-corporate and PUBLIC media outlets.

Most of the time yes, but what about PBS and NPR? Non-profit, non-corporate and PUBLIC media outlets.I consider them fairly reliable news outlets. Slightly biased to the left, I think, but overall they are reliable IMO. And hardly anyone watches/listens to them, by comparison.

Personally, I'm a fan of the BBC.

A slight bias yes, but I'm a Leftest so who cares!

Seriously, I like NPR. No BS and when they take questions from callers, they answer illogical and opposition questions with logic and fairness rather then shouting them down unlike some (Rush, I'm looking as you! :unreal:).

I don't know....whenever I listen to NPR I close my eyes and what comes to my mind is an image of aristocratic snootiness......they always.....seem to pause......when they are talking.....as if......they think.......the listener......needs plenty of time......to assimilate......the wonderful words......they are hearing........

:lmao: I'll give you that. Seems it's always the stereotypical drone voice talking.
