View Full Version : Should police have the right to shoot to kill?

I think, that unless the suspect is going to kill at lot of other people. They should not have the right to shoot to kill. I think they should only have the right to shoot into submission (stop them harming anyone else, but not killing them) i.e shooting in the limbs.

What do you think?

I believe they have a right to shoot to kill, only when the circumstances are right though, like if the criminal is shooting at the cops, they have no choice but to return fire

imho nope, they are there to protect and serve, not to kill protecting

Shoot to kill are given by superiors. However, I think policemen can have an instant right when the offenders fired first.
