Well Religon's usually believe that the Gods created the earth and humans to roam upon it.

My view is more scientific, I believe that a gas pressure in space exploded (big bang) and created what we know as planets, and early earth had many prokaryotes (simple creatures) over time they evolved into humans(now I'm talkking about millions of billions of years) The human race has only inhabited earth for 1/3243244242423 of earth's time, our extistence is a mere speck on the timeline of earth, so that is why we are here, EVOLUTION

Because one night my mom and my dad had a special hug...

But seriously, what makes you think there's a reason? If there's a reason why people exist is there also a reason why alpha centauri exists?

There's no more reason for human existance as there is for the rock your house stands on. We are here because it is possible, because the conditions were right, and we continue to be here because life is only programmed to do one thing, and that's to survive. Whether we, as a species, survive or not, life will find a way to survive as long as the atmosphere and this planet continue to exist in any meaningful capacity.

But, then again, it's not like I'm saying you can't, or shouldn't, create meaning. Religion does an excellent job of this, and mental health often depends heavily on ones ability to find a purpose in life.

Relying on archives from Edgar Cayce, God created us because he wanted to create "peers" for himself. By journeying to Earth, we are able to undergo many hardships and lessons that we take with us when we depart. With each new life on earth (reincarnation), we are able to gain more knowledge, more understanding, and take on new lessons. How about that child that died 3 days after birth, you ask? What lessons did that child learn? That child was meant to provide grief and sorrow for its parents. Sometimes through pain, we become more spiritual. Utlimately, when you have learned all the lessons that you need to learn, you will join with God forever.
