Great idea, Iran!
It's about time the world starts to think of protecting itself from maniacs in Washington and Tel-Aviv.....
We don't need harvest of death. We don't need another Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Viet-Nam, Iraq and Lebanon....

Iran proposes missile shield against U.S., Israel
07/ 04/ 2008
TEHRAN, April 7 (RIA Novosti) - Iran's defense minister said on Monday the world needs a missile shield to protect against threats from Israel and the United States.
Tehran has joined Russia in opposing U.S. plans to deploy elements of its missile defense system in Central Europe to counter possible strikes from "rogue states," specifically Iran.
"If the world needs an anti-missile shield, it must be used to counter missiles and the nuclear menace coming from the U.S. and Israel, which directly or indirectly threaten different countries with aggression and war," Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said.
The minister said U.S. claims that the European missile shield would defend against Iran's missiles were nothing but a sham.
"Our country's missile arsenal is purely defense-oriented and is only a threat to aggressors," the minister said.

The destruction caused by the Israelis in Beirut
In southern Beirut, hit hard by 10 days of Israeli air strikes, the scale of destruction in once-vibrant suburbs is becoming clear.

What do they intend to do? Stack women and children up to catch the incoming fire while they shoot rockets from behind them? Oh, wait......They already do that.

Wait, the last time Iran shot a missile at anyone was when Iraq invaded them. The Persians are the most pro-American people outside Israel in the Middle East. Show a bit more respect to would be allies.

Iranian SPECWAR troops and Iranian weapons have been the key to all jihadi successes in Iraq for the last 5 years. You really need to research this subject. And "NO", I'm not going to hand you links. You do it yourself.

That's the typical Israeli excuse for bombing innocent civilians.

What's the shield going to be defending against? A US attack against Iran? Like the one that happened on 4/4? How about the one on 4/6? Or how about all the other ones that have happened during the past two years? Oh wow! I forgot - there haven't BEEN any attacks on Iran by the US despite all the "rumors" and "guarantees" of the past 2+ years.

Truth. On the other hand, has an Iranian attack wiped out our Persian Gulf Fleet? Why a missile shield to stop them?
It's all political grandstanding on both sides.

Sorry, had to be done. Anyone who proposes a missle defense sheild to stop bombings like those in Beirut is abvously not copetent enough to be allowed to make any desicions where peoples lives are concerned.

If their missles are purely defensive then why do they need a missle shield

Really? (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2007/280507usesalqaeda.htm)
Recent revelations illustrating the fact that the U.S. government is using a Sunni Al-Qaeda terrorist group formerly headed by the alleged mastermind of 9/11 to carry out bombings in Iran undermines the entire war on terror as a monumental hoax that is being exploited purely to realize a geopolitical agenda.
"President George W Bush has given the CIA approval to launch covert "black" operations to achieve regime change in Iran, intelligence sources have revealed. Mr Bush has signed an official document endorsing CIA plans for a propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilise, and eventually topple, the theocratic rule of the mullahs."
"The CIA is giving arms-length support, supplying money and weapons, to an Iranian militant group, Jundullah, which has conducted raids into Iran from bases in Pakistan," the London Telegraph (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2007/270507ops.htm) reported yesterday.
Jundullah is a Sunni Al-Qaeda offshoot organization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jundullah)that was formerly headed by alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Even if you believe the official story of 9/11 to the letter, the fact that Bush has personally authorized U.S. support for this group completely dismantles the facade of the war on terror.
The group has been blamed for a number of bombings inside Iran aimed at destabilizing Ahmadinejad's government and is also active in Pakistan (http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:PX7SNnQZr4kJ:www.newsline.com.pk/NewsAug2004/cover1Aug2004.htm%2BJundullah%2Bal-qaeda&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2), having been fingered for its involvement in attacks on police stations and car bombings at the Pakistan-US Cultural Center in 2004.
The U.S. government is arming and directing a Sunni Al-Qaeda group to carry out bombings in Iran and yet Bush has the temerity to grandstand during his Rose Garden speech last week and wave the Al-Qaeda bogeyman to strike the fear of God into American citizens.
"As to al Qaeda in Iraq, al Qaeda is going to fight us wherever we are. That's their strategy. Their strategy is to drive us out of the Middle East. They have made it abundantly clear what they want. They want to establish a caliphate. They want to spread their ideology. They want safe haven from which to launch attacks. They're willing to kill the innocent to achieve their objectives, and they will fight us. And the fundamental question is, will we fight them? I have made the decision to do so. I believe that the best way to protect us in this war on terror is to fight them," Bush said on Thursday.
Bush's definition of fighting Al-Qaeda is apparently to lend them all the funds, weapons and tactical know how they need to carry out attacks against innocent civilians in Iran, and let us not forget that America's allies the British have also been caught (http://infowars.net/articles/february2007/050207FRU.htm) training insurgents in Iraq to carry out hi-tech bombings that are later blamed on Iran - just as the SAS worked with U.S. special forces to train the KLA in Kosovo (http://www.wsws.org/articles/2000/mar2000/koso-m16.shtml), which was also an Al-Qaeda chapter having been financed directly by Bin Laden himself.
But in the world of newspeak and the lowest common denominator propaganda that cloaks the real agenda of the "war on terror", anyone who rises up against occupation, be it a kid who throws a rock in Baghdad or a car bombing on behalf of an increasingly Shiite-led insurgency, the natural enemies of the Sunni "Al-Qaeda," are terrorists and are Al-Qaeda members.
A cruel irony exists whereby anyone and everyone who opposes military occupation is smeared as an Al-Qaeda terrorist and yet the only real Al-Qaeda terrorists are being bankrolled, armed and directed by the CIA itself, with Bush's explicit approval.
Since President Bush didn't know the difference (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/12/8/215257/257) between Sunni & Shiite Muslims until two months before the invasion of Iraq and the incoming chairman of a congressional intelligence committee said (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,236199,00.html) Al Qaeda prominently came from the Shia branch of Islam, we can't hold out much hope for Joe Public and this is why the simplest propaganda is always the most effective.
They're the bad guys, we're the good guys - black and white with no shades of gray.
In reality, Al-Qaeda only exists within intelligence circles coordinated by the highest echelons of the U.S. government, and is being used yet again as a tool for destabilization in nations targeted for regime change by the Neo-Cons.
Jundullah is not the only anti-Iranian terror group that US government has been accused of funding in an attempt to pressure the Iranian government.
Multiple credible individuals (http://infowars.net/articles/march2007/300307Iran_provocation.htm) including US intelligence whistleblowers and former military personnel have asserted that the government is conducting covert military operations inside Iran using guerilla groups to carry out attacks on Iranian Revolution Guard units.
It is widely suspected that the well known right-wing terrorist organization known as Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), once run by Saddam Hussein's dreaded intelligence services, is now working exclusively for the CIA's Directorate of Operations and carrying out remote bombings in Iran of the sort that the Bush administration condemns on a daily basis inside Iraq.
After a bombing inside Iran in March, the London Telegraph also reported (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2007/250207funds.htm) on how a high ranking CIA official has blown the whistle on the fact that America is secretly funding terrorist groups in Iran in an attempt to pile pressure on the Islamic regime to give up its nuclear program.

Interesting source you provide. Very interesting indeed.
I should have been more clear in my OP. When I referred to "attack" I should have singled out nuking Iran. That's the attack that has been bandied about as being imminent for the past 2+ years and the one to which I was referring, as you are well aware, since you have opined an eagerness to see the resulting destruction of US concerns in the aftermath of such an attack. These attacks have been "guranteed" and "rumored" to be about to take place as recently as 4/4 and 4/6. They haven't happened. However, let's assume for the sake of argument that the "facts" provided in your article are accurate. What good will a missile shield do? None.

Personally I don't care what Iran does. But they ought to know one thing. If they screw with the US, they get their a**es kicked.

Irans playing the same game as America. Leaders are fucking their people over for personal gains, whats new there? This whole thing is absurbed as the majority of the poeple in the world could get along perfectly wrong, but its the minority of people who expliot people for personal gain. Its called life, the problem with this is that people die, but that is a scarifice they are willing to make.
If Iran defeated America, do you think it would be content to just sit with in its own borders and not interfer in the affairs of others? I think not. They are all the same.
