Congrats on adopting my least favorite forum software. The primary reason I never really got into debatepolitics.com

But hey, what the hell. If something is not broke, fix it anyway.

The glitch when you tried to post anything was enough to drive anyone batty. Not to mention how slow it was and how half the time you could not see new posts.

Hey dgun. Did you not see the notices about the coming migration to vBulletin?

The MyBB version of DF had some issues my friend and the move to vBulletin seems to have mitigated them quite handily. Hang in there, change isn't easy to take sometimes, but a forum is really made by its members more than the software that it runs on. I imagine that in a few days you will scarcely notice the changes and will be enjoying debate just like before. :peace:

Grumble grumble.

Change, grumble, grumble. In my day, grumble, grumble.

Get off my lawn, grumble, grumble.

Heheheh, that one made me blow Diet Dr. Pepper out my nose while reading dgun. I really need to remember not to take a drink when reading your stuff, too funny. :clapper:

I'm with dgun on this one. I understand the need to address back-end issues...it's likely there was no other choice but to switch, so I've no problem with the reasons...but like dgun, I find the interface rather sucky (technical term). ;-)

I was here, when you made the move from the multi-color background, to the "mostly-white" background you just got rid of. I didn't think my eyes could ever hurt like that again.

I stand corrected.

I was going to leave the ding-bat with the glasses, but I don't have ding-bats anymore. will they be comming back from vacation soon?

susie, would it be possible to get an alternating shade or something? I am used to having it easy to tell where a post begins and ends and now they are all sort of running together. Alternating the shade of grey or somehow putting lines between posts would help a lot.

once i get more info back on what people want changed, i can replicate the skin in different shades, so they have the choice of the two :)

I think it would be nice to have one with a little more bulk to it. It's much sleeker now, but the different sections of the forum aren't as distinct.

Keep the main background white, but make the borders a bit thicker, make the distinction between posts a bit clearer.

the database was being corrupted by the software

Is that a known problem with Mybb or was a mod or other customization to blame?
