We have posters here who put such crap as "A vote for Obama is a vote for Osama," and "ten out of ten terrorists want Obama," statements that infer the Clintons will kill you if you cross them, and other claims that go beyond the bounds of decency and truth.
I'm just wondering why, when you can get dinged for shortening another member's name in a post, anything goes in the sig lines? Perhaps I should just go ahead and put all the ideas that the hard right wingers hate about my beliefs in my sig line...you know, like "Bush is a dry drunk, McCain is incontinent," etc.
On the other hand, I may just block the sig lines if that's a possiblity.

Hipocrite. You say this kind of crap but you and your little buddies attack President Bush and Republican's in yours and I am sure you don't see a problem with it until we start posting truth's on ours.

That is it Buck. Just block anyone who disagrees with you and their opinion in their signatures. Censorship of other opinions, USSR anyone?

You can't block signatures. I've already checked. Ignoring the bad posters doesn't work, because their lies shouldn't go unchallenged.

I wouldn't block anything. Why not absorb what everyone has to say? Why ignore someone simply because they disagree?

Well considering your sig line you don't have much room to talk on the issue. Going after Bush is going after Obama is going after mccain is going after hillary.

I don't have a problem with the sigs. In most cases, especially when it is just repeated lies, it says more about the person with the sig.

You can disable signatures.

Found the option this time. But I could have sworn it wasn't there this afternoon. Thx

It's a better indicator than Affiliation was. Gets right to heart of the matter. Tells you who is playing with face cards and who threw them away when they were handed their deck. Good call, El.
I think it would be a good idea to enforce certain style limits on sigs. Maybe limit to one image of a certain width and height and one line of text? And probably apply some rules to avatars as well. I think it would make the forum look neater.

We have sig limits, 150 pixels high and 550 long. They're relatively loosely enforced. A few pixels over doesn't bother me, but when it's 180, 200+ high I ask the person to resize it, though admittedly staff usually doesn't realize it unless someone points it out.

Well, looks like pics are out, so yeah, just sig lines now. And no avatars. Lovely.

Man, and to think that my first warning resulted from thinking that calling public figures "chimps" was okay! LOL! Thanks Buck, you're one in a million.

I don't have a sig line or a pic. Mine's a disclaimer.

What? You don't like my sig line?
Do you think it's dishonest?

Drop your pants and we'll see. Stuff like that is a little hard to prove.
Oh, bad pun! LOL!!
