I've been reading the Ron Paul forum for many months already, and I noticed that Moderators of Ron Paul forum ban people like there is no tomorrow. But what's really strange is that they ban people - the Ron Paul supporters that is - for the information that they post.

The Mods of the Ron Paul forum don't really have much to say about any subject at all, but when they actually do express their opinion, it is expressed usually in just few words and in such rude manner that they remind me the Fox News anchors Sean Hannity and Bill O'Rreilly.
The mods express their opinon by saying: I don't give a crap....
Who f*cking cares?...
or What's up with that sh*t now?

It seems like that their goal is to drive people away from the forum. And membership actually IS down....

What else I noticed was that before they ban a person the mods create kind of mini-show by posting insults directed at a person they plan to ban. Every time when it happens it reminds me of the Bill O'Rreilly show who likes to shut people up.

What else is weird is that when people post trully intresting and worth discussing threads, the mods move these threads to the Hot Topics sub-forum which is almost impossible to find. Many forum members are not even aware of its existence because it is hidden inside another Off Topics sub-forum.

But what I find trully fascinating is that while treating forum members (the Ron Paul supporters) like trash the Mods are constantly asking forum members to donate money for all sorts of things.
They even asked to donate money for creating that animated 3D Ron Paul video. The last day to donate money to creators of the video is 15 April. They already got $6.250.
And this is not the only thing they are asking money for.

Don't believe me? Just take a look at the front page of the Ron Paul Forums - http://www.ronpaulforums.com

Does Ron Paul know about this?.....

Probably not.

He doesn't get WiFi through his tin hat.

He is so far from a tin-foil hat. That comment was disgusting. And yeah, PH, it is laughable for so-called conservatives to be so hateful to a true conservative.

A part of me pities the paul fans, another part of me wants to find a rally and just point and laugh at their idealism and paranoia. The suggestion that not only would fox create this, but actually give a damn about a nothing candidate to waste the time, is laughable.

I'm a Paul fan,can you show me where I exhibited any paranoia? I find it sad 'idealism' is used in a derogatory way. I pity the people who have given up on ideals.

Ideals and idealism are different things.

idealism (impracticality by virtue of thinking of things in their ideal form rather than as they really are)

ideal (the idea of something that is perfect; something that one hopes to attain)

In my mind it would be accurate to say that paranoia is more prevalent in Paul supporters, though not all have it.

In my mind, I don't think striving for ideals or being optimistic (idealism) is a bad thing when tempered with the reality constraints.

Giving up has never been a winning strategy.

You're basing your opinion on the paranoia thing on a limited amount of information and a limited amount of RP supporters you come in contact with.

Plus, just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean people aren't out to get you ;-).

If you think the government as it is isn't out to get you, that's a form of idealism, or at least ignorance.

It's pretty naive to assume that Fox was in control of Paul's site. Of course at the same time, most of the ridiculing on Paul came from Fox.

Well, maybe.... But why would they hire some rednecks to moderate his OFFICIAL forum than?

I am a Ron Paul supporter and I think that those idiots who ban people and ASK TO DONATE MONEY at the same time are doing pretty good job at driving people away from Congressman Paul.....

Isn't that what the media wants, to drive people away from him? They did a good job of it already.

That is true. But I just wonder who his moderators really are?
There are plenty of exited people out there who like Ron Paul and they want to express there feelings on HIS forum....

Sometimes they might sound a bit childish, but it's NORMAL. Do the mods understand it?

Why aren't you asking that forums moderators/owners that question December?
