It's not me, it's Ron Paul who says it. US borrows 3 Billon a day.

Any comments?

December, you are misrepresenting what he said though. He's not a proponent of borrowing money from China; he's saying that's what we're having to do and he's against it.

What's really crazy is that USA cannot keep its Empire together at least for 100 years.....

We do borrow a tremendous amount of money over seas from countries like China and Japan. This borrowing is what is fueling our economy since Americans are 'unable' to save themselves. I am not too concerned that China will stop investing in the US. Why? Because, what do we do with the money from China? Turn around and buy Chinese imports.

It is sort of a symbiotic cycle where both countries rely on each other.

I didn't say that he is a proponent of borrowing money from China to fight the war. He is stating the facts.

December: sorry, I misunderstood you.

1) I don't want a reliance relationship with China or anyone else.

2) Who is holding the cards when we are indebted to them?

It's a horribly stupid thing to do.

That's bullshit. We don't borrow a stinking cent from China. Foreign countries can purchase US Treasury bonds just like any US citizen can purchase bonds. This is where people get off saying we are 'borrowing' money from China.

On the balance sheet China is sucking the US dry with an obscenely huge trade deficient. If anything, China and the rest of that region are borrowing money form the US.

There's nothing symbiotic about it. Our country is being drained.

Selling treasury bonds is a form of borrowing. Hello?

You want a closed economy. Then urge your fellow Americans to save more. Savings = Investment in a closed economy.

2) Who is holding the cards when we are indebted to them?

You are missing the point. Without Americans buying products from the Chinese, are we indebted to them or is it vice versa?

I am actually confused here. According to US propaganda China is a Communist country, and America, naturally, is all-Capitalist country.

Correct?

Alright....
If this is so, than how come all-Capitalist America is borrowing money from a Communist China? It just doesn't make any sense.

What is it you don't understand December? China purchases US Treasury Bonds. It's not the same as the US government going to China and saying, "Can you loan us some money"? Countries buy US Treasury Bonds not to help out the US, but to make smart, stable, safe investments. If anything, this is a sign of the confidence China and other nations have of the long term stability of the US economy.

Would anyone in the west purchase government securities from China? Now that would be a rather risky investment.

Ron Paul didn't say anything about US Treasury Bonds. He said that US borrows 3 Billion a day from China. Watch the video again.....

No I don't. Trade is good. Literally being dependent on anyone, being indebted in the real sense, is not.
