Absolutely unbelievable!

James David Manning Makes Hate-Filled Comments About Obama

Atlanta, GA 3/19/2008 10:04 PM GMT (FINDITT)

Rev. James David Manning, the pastor of Harlem's Atlah Worldwide church, insulted Barack Obama by calling the presidential candidate "trash" and a "mack daddy".

"His African-in-heat father went a-whoring after a trashy white woman," said Manning, who is a proclaimed Clinton supporter. "[Obama] was born trash."

"He got started -- you didn't notice him 'til he brought out those big-chested white women with their tight T-shirts and their short pants," said Manning about how Obama started his campaign. "That's what a pimp does He's a mack daddy. He pimps white women and black women. Obama is a long-legged mack daddy."

"I got the Word of God in my mouth," continued Manning, "and God's not afraid of Obama or anybody else or Ted Kennedy or that little Caroline or anybody else!"

Manning said that Black people are behind Obama for no reason other than his race. He said Bill Clinton has given a quarter of a billion dollars into the Harlem community, but Obama has not put in the same kind of effort.

"I told you about Bill Clinton, a man that has built your home the way this home is built," said Manning. "Now you are trashing him and his wife, after he's given you all that he's given to you, from a man you have no idea what he's going to do, and the reason why you're doing it is not because of honor and integrity, but simply because he got a black face? But I told you, he also got a white mama! You hypocrites, you."

Manning even evoked Don Imus when he spoke to his congregation. "The future of you African and African-American people is in my mouth," said Manning. "It's not in your hand; it's in my mouth! And I don't have to compromise with not one of you nappy-head people."

Just days after Rev. Jeremiah Wright's speeches have been blasted on YouTube and on television news stations, Manning's controversial comments are just as, if not more, spiteful and devisive.

I heard the tapes...you're right Trish...Unbelievable.

I don't know if politicking is common in churches (I thought is wasn't really allowed per their tax exempt status), but anyway it sure seems popular this election season!

That's a joke, pres, politicking is VERY common in southern baptist churches. i know that much for a fact. I have listened to a preacher go straight down the ticket.

I never heard it...but Lutheran Churches are pretty low key.
I've got to get out more!

This isn't politicking though - this is outright character assassination! I don't care who Rev. Manning supports, what race(s) are involved, calling ANYONE's parents whores, pimps, trash, etc. is just NOT acceptable from any minister, anywhere. God is no respecter of persons - there is no "trash" to God. (Romans 2:11) For a minister to come out and call anyone trash is contrary to everything Christianity teaches!

Aren't they all part of that program "Pastors, Preachers and Fathers for man/boy/love and Hate Speech"?

How do these people have audiences anymore?

The sheeple population grows everyday....

I don't think Manning has anything to do with the Southern Baptists.

Rev. James David Manning, the pastor of Harlem's Atlah Worldwide church, insulted Barack Obama by calling the presidential candidate "trash" and a "mack daddy".

If this is being said from the pulpit, or put forth as anything other than a personal opinion, it does indeed jepordize his church's tax exempt status.

This is the scary part for two reasons.

Its mostly true.

And he seems to not care where Bill Clinton got the money to "give" to them.

It's inexcusable no matter who he supports.

Just more proof that the great majority of these 'pastors' are wolves in sheeps attire..."That's in the Bible!" TM - Rev. Wright

I should say that with all of this Obama stuff I support him and I don't think Rev. Wright is the devil. With that being said, religion and politics should always remain separate because you cannot be for Christ and also for a flesh and blood human to fix problems. Those two things don't mix. So while I don't agree with the character assasination leveled upon Barack Obama because of his preachers' views I do take issue with so-called 'men of God' talking from the pulpits about politics and I certainly take issue with them endorsing one candidate over the other.

I do have a question though. Are all of the members of this man's congregation now considered to be ignorant, backwards, racist, low lifes with no redeemable value to society? Just thought I'd ask...

I find it odd that a man of the cloth would put so much emphasis on money and not good works. If I'm not mistaken, Obama did plenty of those when living in Chicago.

Especially finding such virtue in the use of other people's money at that!

Of course that could be his own habits being transferred to another.
