How sad, although from the moment they dissappeared I was positive that they were dead. They don't hold prisoners for that long over there.

It's sad these two men died.......but they knew the consequences before they signed on the dotted line, accepted those big paychecks and said they would go there.
I take offense with their deaths being linked with the death of soldiers who went there believing in what they were doing. Contractors are mercenaries
and are paid well for what they do and they know the risks they are taking. It is after all a war zone.

Not all contractors are Mercenaries. Some of them are companies setting up internet and computer systems. Some are getting healthcare set up, some are helping rebuild the towns. The ones you call Mercenaries are the ones protecting these contractors.

I don't and haven't for the past 3 years or so. Soldiers and contractors over there since umm, about early 2005 are on the exact same playing field. They are both over there to promote and protect the business interests of corporations and create an environment in which those US/UK corporate interests may flourish. After the news broke that there were no WMDs and with the public being alerted to the fact that there never was any al'Qeada in Iraq they all (construction workers, mercs, and US military personnel) stand in the same shoes and shoulder to shoulder.

That is crap and you know it. At the very least we are there because of the crimes against humanity that has been committed for years over there.

Nope! That's the deal whether they know it or not! There are crimes against humanity MUCH worse than that elsewhere and we don't even report on it in the USA. (Heck, we've done worse ourselves!) If you think that's the reason you're fooling yourself!
If you read you'll find we didn't care what he did till he threatened to start selling his oil in Euros... That's when we started in with him. Before that Rummy, Dick, and Bush loved the guy!

No we are there because of oil, if we were there because of crimes against humanity we would try to go everywhere there was crimes against humanity but we don't, so please don't try to blow smoke up people's asses. They won't buy it.
