This editorial (even for a liberal newspaper) is beyond belief. A so-called juvenile kills 3 people during a drug related armed robbery and life without parole is too harsh? What they fail to mention is he was only a few months short of 18 when the crimes occurred, he wrote the judge in the case threatening letters from jail, and engineered an elaborate escape attempt using phony court papers that ordered his immediate release. Fortunately that failed. One of the DC Snipers was only 17 as well. Perhaps he deserves a break too?
