I almost cried when I read this article. This guy wants to teach his 11 and 7 yr old children to kill? Why? Not only did the children lose their beloved pet, but were forced to participate in its cruel death. They are probably completely traumatized now. My wife is a believer (and I agree with her 100%) that people who abuse or kill animals in such a manner are only one step from doing the same to people. But all other things aside my heart goes out to this innocent little cat. He deserved better. I hope he is at peace now. And I hope the judge doesn't just throw the book at this excuse for a human being. I hope he throws the whole damn library.

If you haven't figured it out already this story is very disturbing, especially to animal lovers. But despite that read it. Ignoring it is to passively condone it. The people in the area (and possibly the entire country need to make their feeling known.

I think this guy should be self-canibalized, by removing one mussle a day (of course, you would have to cotterize the wound afterwards so he doesn't die, no anesthesia), and make it his meal each day, ala Tar-Tar. Before long, he would be a motionless mass of jelly and bones.

Unfortuantely, the law will be all too inadequate to properly punish this sick moron.

I just thought of something...
It would seem, that the only issue that can actually unite Dems & Reps, Con & Lib, is a story about the abuse of animals. We are all of the opinion that this jerk needs to be hurt in bad ways, and we don't even bitch about which method to use. Around this, we can unite.
I just thought that was odd, that's all.

Mmm... there's more that unites us than you think...

They said the cat was an 8 month old "tuxedo". We have a tuxedo cat, although he is much older (about 8 yrs old) and he is the most lovable pet anyone could ever hope for.
Every time I look at him now I think of his poor unfortunate 'cousin". My heart goes out to these kids. we need to let the Humane society ad the courts in Muncie Indiana know how we feel. And if it ca be guaranteed a good home (away from this monster) perhaps we could arrange for these kids to adopt another cat from the shelter.

I agree. If one were to pretend the democratic and republican official party lines never existed, we would all be in agreement about most things. We all would most likely compromise and be happy. But those lines exist to divide and conquer, and we let them.

I think most, regardless of party affiliation, agree and disagree with every single act/idea that comes from within their party. It is probably more or less a matter of degree on how far left or right you are from the midpoint.
But, in regards to this article, this guy should be tortured as slowly, and as painfully, as possible. And I would gladly volunteer. I have seen so many instances of such uninamiginable torture and neglect at the shelter that I literally do not even view them as human. That are sadists.

People who are cruel to animals are invariably cruel to other people...in this case, his children. It's definitely a sickness, and this guy needs to be kept away from children and animals for good. The lack of compassion of other beings means he's dangerous at best.

He should also be charged with child endangerment, impacting the morals or a minor and child abuse.

That is exactly what I, and several others were trying to convey regarding the puppy being thrown off a cliff video. I did not view this as a military matter. I saw it as an individual who actually obviously enjoyed his actions.
It was a puppy this time. Who knows what it will be the next time around. It reminds me of the Nazis who threw Jewish infants in the air as target practice. I'm sure they didn't start that way; but cruelty tends to escalate.

Geez, I can't bring myself to read that article. You all know how I feel about animals, so I know you'll understand. This is one sick bastard who needs to be fed genitalia-first into a chipper-shredder.
Slowly.
And those poor kids! That's unspeakable.

I was struck by the link "e-mail to a friend" right at the bottom of the story. Why in HELL would I want to e-mail THAT to a friend.
My Wife and I have a "tuxedo" cat we brought in as a feral stray. It's lucky for this rat bastard he doesn't live on my street. I'd run the son of a bitch over with my truck. Better than he deserves, actually.
We have a tuxedo as well; and I guarantee I would do more than run him over with my truck (or van in my case). I can't even begin to imagine the trauma his children were put through. Scum like that, even the death penalty is too easy.

You can kind of see why the kids live with the grandparents. I'm surprised this bum even HAS visitation rights.
And the line by the CHILDREN, which said (paraphrasing) "he's much nicer when he's not drunk" says volumes.
