OK, I love civilized debate and I honestly want some honest answers about Obama from some of his supporters.
Question #1: I have listened to Obama's speeches and he's good, really good BUT what has he REALLY had to say. He says ALOT of positive things about hope and change BUT I've honestly never heard any substance behind the hope and change. I can stand (sit) here and talk about hope and change BUT it means nothing if I don't have anything to back the talk up. What sort of change? What will he be doing to make things different? Why should I have hope? Just because he says I should have?
Question #2: While (*again) not getting specific on any particular issue, when Obama talks about things like poverty or health care and that he is going to do something about it, not only does he not give any substantative answer, he also fails to in any way mention just how he plans on PAYING for all his wonderful cures for all of Americas ills. The magical fairies aren't going to pay for all his wonderful cures, we, tax paying Americans are. Doesn't that bother anyone else?
I am honestly looking for honest answer and civil debate.
Thanks!

Answer to question 1: Barack Obama has very little substance to vote on. His campaign is centered around rhetoric and not on experience. He was fortunate enough to grab the "Change" slogan while Hillary jumped on the "Experience" slogan. In a GOP primary or general election "Experience" is great to run on. In the Democratic primary "Change" is the key to the nomination. It does not matter how he promises to get results. The voters of the Democratic party will believe his promises because he speaks in an eloquent manner.
If you want to know more about Barack Obama, examine his frequent "present" vote in the Illinois state senate. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/02/the_everpresent_obama.html
That article is from last year, but I think that it is still relevant.
Answer 2: He plans to spend 1.1 trillion dollars over the next ten years on healthcare and some funding will come when the Bush tax cuts are repealed. He will raise taxes on corporations and punish productivity for those Americans in higher income brackets.
The scariest part about all of this is that his socialist agenda for America is not what scares me the most. It is his foreign policy that petrifies me.

Man-o-man!
Do I assume you think Dubya's foreign policy has been topnotch?
Because I don't think Obama could do any worse than that punk from Texas.
In response to the OP: I knew Obama was being prepped for this campaign when he gave the keynote at the Dem Convention in 2004.
And IMO, he's just another globalist like Billy C. was. Like Hillary is.
I hope he values civil liberties more than the present Administration.
'Cause it looks like Obama's the next President.

IMO, I should pass on this.
There is a man.
A vapid man.
Yeah!

I think the whole "invade are allies and sit down and have tea with our enemies" philosophy is not going to pan out in the general.
But hey, maybe that is just me

If you want to know what people think of Obama, it's quite simple:

That should help you.

Thank you Pookie. This whole "tell me what his specifics are" is tiring. They are listed on his website. He speaks of them in his speeches. Why ask us to type it all out or copy and paste it for you again and again? There are multiple threads already on the topic. Why are Republicans suddenly acting like they can't read or google or youtube?
LOL!

His specifics:
Wait for Hillary to release plan on issue
Copy Hillary's plan to fix issue
Use the Rhetoric of Hope to convince people you can provide your ever so slightly altered version of Hillary's plan, even though when tough decisions came in the past you voted "present".
There you go
