G'day folks,

I don't like using my real name on the Internet, so I just go by the name "Chopper" as it's really the only name I can think of when registering on places on the Internet. It's based after Australian Infamous Stand-Over Man "Mark Chopper Brandon Read."

I've served in the Military for the past 7 years, have had a few vacations overseas, but am home now. I'm not really well educated when it comes to the finer points of American Politics, but I do know a little bit and thought it might be worth while registering here to advance my knowledge of politics in the United States. Especially with the Elections just around the corner, in a way it does affect myself directly.

I reside in Australia and was born and raised here. I'm proud of my nation and the amazing people within the tight-knit Australian community. For us though, our politics differ a little bit and aren't as 'dramatic' I guess you could say as the American Politics - however I see many similarities and I'm basically just interested in seeing things from a different perspective I guess.

Thanks all.

Welcome.....looking forward to an Australian's point of view. We do have a couple of other posters from Australia and it's interesting reading a differenc perspective.
