Of course, that's exactly how the Bush White House does it, too.

No, because it's a standard way for presidents to handle the press.
Perhaps you should watch (http://www.journeyswithgeorge.com/) how he treats the press behind the scenes.

Except maybe where he was spending the night before...
That would be a tough one for him to answer, given that Hillary already promissed us all, that she could keep her man in check.
Anybody think that Hill has a team of PI's following him around, so at the very least, she won't be surprised if she gets hit with a question like "Who was that teenager your husband was with last night?"

How is this an example of how Bush treats the press Lilly? Do you think you can have a televised event where they don't try to control who is going first? Did anyone interview those officers and soldiers and ask them if they were handed scripts?
Of course they weren't vetted, because had that part of the story been told, it would not have had the desired effect of trying to impugn the Presidents war efforts.
Now with this poor example, are you going to suggest that ALL of Bush's press conferences are staged?
Are you going to profess that Bush needs to stage the troops to see how they feel about their efforts and the war? It's pretty easy to get their MAJORITY opinions Lilly; all you have to do is want to find the truth.
I am willing to bet, unlike the conclusions of the uninformed quasi-journalist in your example, that a VAST majority support the effort and think they are doing a good job.
Your continued efforts to deny the FACTS are nothing more than more of the same from those who believe that America is somehow the bad guy in this effort. It's denial at it's extreme worst.
Here’s the conclusion of this quasi-journalist which illustrates his profound bias:
“"If he wants the real opinions of the troops, he can't do it in a nationally televised teleconference," Rieckhoff said. "He needs to be talking to the boots on the ground and that's not a bunch of captains."
If you wish to post MORE of your weak examples from less than credible sources of how Bush “manipulates” the press, profound in its denial, go for it. I could use the laughs.
How is this an example of how Bush treats the press Lilly? Do you think you can have a televised event where they don't try to control who is going first?
::bangs head againt the wall::
It isn't an article about how Bush treats the press......you wanted proof that Bush's press conferences aren't pre-screened.....well I went one further and showed you one that was staged.
Did anyone interview those officers and soldiers and ask them if they were handed scripts?
I'll give you a hint.........it's in the article......read it.

Huh?????

Hey.......you might think it's a poor example.........but it's more proof than you brought to the debate.:bye:

Do you EVER follow or comprehend a thread? I questioned the notion that ALL Presidents and press conferences are staged. I don't need to PROVE it.
You are the one desperately attempting to prove something you cannot possibly prove; that President Bush stages his press conferences, or the notion that is only Bush who has staged one.
That would be a lie. You do know what a lie is don't you?
Now if you think that a few instances are somehow evidence of attempts to manipulate the press and that the press is somehow duped into it, well that would put you in denial wouldn't it? [hr]Did anyone interview those officers and soldiers and ask them if they were handed scripts?
I'll give you a hint.........it's in the article......read it.
Apparently you have no comprehension of what vetting is. This is when the reporters take the 10 soldiers aside and ask them detailed questions about the event, whether they volunteered, whether they were ordered to go, whether they were scripted or had their own words edited and whether or not they agreed with the scripted statements they made or were given.
We call this JOURNALISM. It's a lost art in the drive-by media of today and particularly absent with those of Democrat or Leftist tendencies, unless they are of course critiquing Fox News reports.
Here's the relevant portion of YOUR absurd article, I suggest you pay special attention to the OBVIOUS bias of the author of this report:
Paul Rieckhoff, director of the New York-based Operation Truth, an advocacy group for U.S. veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, denounced the event as a "carefully scripted publicity stunt." Five of the 10 U.S. troops involved were officers, he said.
"If he wants the real opinions of the troops, he can't do it in a nationally televised teleconference," Rieckhoff said. "He needs to be talking to the boots on the ground and that's not a bunch of captains."

I don't need to PROVE it.
No....as I'm begining to figure out, you don't PROVE anything.
You are the one desperately attempting to prove something you cannot possibly prove;
I am......can you show me where?
Either way, I'm done. All you do is repeat and dance. I don't think you are here to debate, just to ramble.

There is no documentary to watch, its a site that wants you to BUY the documentary. Nothing to see.
By the way, nothing more credible than a PURPLE MONKEY production eh?

No Lilly, rambling is your forte', that and ignoring what anyone else states that doesn't fit your narrow view of the world.

I'm sorry, I thought you respected intellectual property rights. I didn't realize you would hope or expect I would give you a link to a pirated version?
Here, since you obviously couldn't buy your own copy for your research library, rent it (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Journeys_with_George/60033584).
I'm also a little surprised that you're passing judgment on something sight-unseen because of the name of the production company. What kind of logic do they call that where ever you profess to have learned logic.
Carry on.
Of course it makes sense to end your post derisively.

You clearly had such a well thought-out and researched rebuttal.
