The independenct for Kosovo is precedent for number of countries which de facto exist but stay de jure unacknowledged or it’s just the attempt to unleash new war in Balkan?
It looks like that some sides supportive of Kosovo independent republic are unable to see the risks or are just intently moving to wars and disputes. Look, apart from Kosovo there is same independence wish in get Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorniy Karabakh and TransDnistrian region. Mind those are only regions in post-Soviet space. And no one is going to give them what they want but Kosovo’s precedent will be able to start a few conflicts at once at the territory of former Soviet Union! Next will go Europe itself composed of states with numerous ethnical enclaves. Justy fancy the possible scale of predictable violence in Europe! I can’t understand why we put our hand into the stitch where from we’ll never get out!
Policy is sophisticated business ‘course. In case of Kosovo the pols may easily provoke chain reaction! I hope that sane and appropriate European politicians which able to assess all ‘+’ and ‘-‘ of this situation will make the right decision – no independent Kosovo!
