If you were running a candidate’s local campaign office, what would you put on the wall? Old Glory? The Texas flag? Or maybe the banner of a hostile Communist police state?

Not a smart move. Che wasn't such a good guy, lots of murders to his names. It's all over the net now, second time I've seen this story and it's legit.

Let the politician without sin cast the first stone. Even more so for revolutionaries.

How much British blood was spilled at General Washington's word?

Oh, brilliant! What a dumb thing to do. Whoever put that flag up there wasn't thinking!

I don't see the big deal. I'm sure this woman is Cuban. Che Guevara is viewed as a saint in Cuba.

And that has what to do with Che Guevara?[hr]

Not by the cubans who left that country. But if Obama wants to lay claim to the mantel of marxist, it would make sense and it would also end the speculation.

They were both revolutionary generals.

You can speak for every Cuban living outside of Cuba?

And Obama has said that he would be willing to open discussions with Castro. I'd expect the embargo to end during his Presidency in one way or another.

Everyone and anyone can work in a campaign office.

Heck they let me in!

Just because something is on the wall, doesn't mean the candidate put it there, or condones it.

if you listened to the video it begins.....

"it is only the morning after the primary and already volunteers have opened two new offices for candidate Obama......paid staffers are expected to take over the offices in a few weeks"......

obviously neither Obama or anyone from his campaign has ever seen this office......therefore, it doesn't make sense to blame him for something that is there......

Staffers have to realize that they are in the big leagues now. This will come up again in the general, if Clinton doesn't jump on it first.

I would hope that whoever put it up just thinks it's a cool youth symbol and doesn't really support Che's ideology...but one never knows.
This can't do anything but hurt.

I don't think its too much of a stretch to assume that the Cuban exiles, the escapees, the expatriates and those that activily work for the day that Castro is out of power so they can return, resent both Castro and Guevara.

I also don't think its a reach that Cubans who approve of those two and admire them, are still living in Cuba.

Now as for those of this country that find the idea of revolution to be a romantic and exciting ideal with no actual knowledge of reality...........well yeah, they could actually find that poster something to admire.

Ok, I won't go so far as to say that Obama is a Communists or supports them, or that he even knows this flag is up in one of his campaign offices. But I will take this as indicative of the type of wack-jobs he will load our Government up with, if he gets elected.

Of course with that said, Hillary’s Government will have Chinese Nationals with fat check-books.

Until Obama either has it removed, repudiates it, or approves of it being there, we must assume he gives his tactit approval. Afterall, if we are seeing pictures of it, he surely must be aware of the situation by now.

Therefore, if it is still there, we must assume he tacitly approves of it, and the situation then speaks for itself.

btw, what is wrong with normalizing relations with Cuba? It seems long overdue.

Seems like we're waiting for Castro to die first and for his part he just seems to live forever.

And Herb Dean went down in flames over a roar. They are searching now for ANYTHING to nail Obama. I feel bad for the guy as he is not target #1 for one of the most evil political machines ever...the Clintons.

Yeah right. As if anyone's more evil than the Karl Rove/Bush/Cheney machine.

Please.

You sure do over dramatize things.

Well, it wasn't just a poster. It was a Cuban flag with a picture of Che Guevara on it. I highly doubt that someone who wasn't of Cuban ancestry would display a Cuban flag in her office. And, you can't argue against the good that Che Guevara did for Cuba....what Castro has done since then is not on his hands in the eyes of Cubans. As I said, he's a saint to Cubans. I think this goes for those living in Cuba or outside of it.

Of course, as Americans our perception of Guevara is far different. After his death, during the Vietnam War, he became a protest icon. Of course his Marxist ideals and guerrilla warfare tactics were a part of that. However, Cubans see much more than that. Most people who view Che Guevara as an evil person are only seeing one side of the story.

Let's see. The first group lied it's way into destabilizing Iraq, wasting over $400 billion and pushing our national debt to $9.2 trillion and counting, while the other group contains one capitalist who bowed to the mafia, two revolutionaries who freed Cuba from the former, and a philosopher, I'd say the first group is more evil.

In terms of simple counting.....

3 > 1.
