This is a movement, this is not about Ron Paul, it´s about the message!

So, the movement will not die now or after the elections, actually there are HUGE network which will next starting to run into politics locally.

There are a HUGE list of people who are allready running with Ron Pauls-platform!

You know, ideas are bulletproof and this isn´t a game, this is a revolution.

Thank you and maybe you understand someday...

This is just all the people who are happy with the results of the current two party system stopping by to give their "i told you so" and other such juvenile rhetoric. They think it's a football game where the winners make fun of the losers, but in reality this is politics where we all lose when things dont go right. Just because my candidate loses an election doesn't mean I don't feel the same way about the policies. It seems like the democrats are the ones who are most vehement in this type of talk. Despite Ron Paul being a republican, I think the democrats are the most threatened by his anti-war anti-patriot act anti-(everything neocon) platform. If you look at it objectively, they are doing such a poor job of offering an alternative to Bush's policies that they are really insecure about Ron Paul who has provided a REAL alternative.

It seems that it´s too hard for some of you to understand that there are still people left, who stand behind their ideas no matter what and refuses to vote lesser of two evils.

Sooner or later, people will be crying for the Ron Paul´s message, mark my words...

I shouldn't tell you, because you've been gone too long and you need to be taught a lesson.......but I like you so here......... I tried to fix your post, but it didn't work.........so I guess it must have to do with my not voting for Ron Paul and my like for Obama?

OMG, this isn´t a sporting-event.... :ecstatic:

We can easily say that at this time MOST americans have absolutely no idea about this movement or where it stands on the issues, but that will be fixed when people start running locally...

This movement is not a "let gets popular"-movement, it´s more like let´s gert back to the principles of your founding fathers and no compromises on that..This movement is about HONESTY, not saying anything to win!

Popularity will come sooner or later that´s for sure.

It's a movement all right...

Ron has said that from beginning, so how is this is a new thing...

I think Ron Paul will run 3rd party and I think it's time for his supporters to shut the hell up and focus on getting him elected.
Enough damn noise, let's see RESULTS!

“Our goal has always been to walk into the national GOP convention with as many delegates as possible,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign manager Lew Moore. “The number of delegates we won yesterday could very well be the difference in a Convention where no one has a first-ballot majority. With Dr. Paul’s home state of Texas coming up, we feel we can enter the convention with a substantial number of delegates.”

There is the campaigns stradegy in front of your eyes...

Pookie, all they have is noise. Q reminds me of one of those cheerleaders who rah rah for the worst sports team in the state, but still goes to every game and cheers with all their heart even as their team gets mauled every single time.

I mean, come on... he has gotten 6% of the vote, but somehow that is a major victory. And we keep hearing that the reason he is only getting so few votes is because no one knows who he is... erm...

Er... we have perspective. It is just ours is based on reality and understanding the US political system. As for 'starting from nothing'... perhaps you should push for him to be a valid candidate in 2016. Maybe by then he will have a few more percentage points.

He's not a senator, he's a rep, and he had significantly less national name recognition than:

McCain, Thompson, Huckabee, Clinton, Obama, Edwards, ..?

Of course, Ron Paul tries to win...absolutely.

Ron is the "spokesman" of the message now in these elections, but the message doens´t end if he looses...

But the most important thing is to SPREAD the message, that there will be 1000 "Ron Pauls" running into politics soon...[hr]

Oh let me see now. How about getting rid of all those federal departments? The president does not have the power to unilaterally revamp the federal government all on his lonesome and the other branches would not let him just walk around and do as he wants.

What part you don´t understand here,

YOU HAVE TO CUT SPENDING!

Can´t you see that your current spending is ruining the dollar and printing money is creating inflation which will wipe the middle class away ?

Yes dear, I do understand that. But thanks for, once again, acting like anyone who does not agree with you is somehow stupid or deserving of derision. You apparently cannot see that your posts and your attitude toward others turns people off and does the opposite of what you are trying to do.

And as for reducing spending, one can do that without promising things that he has no way of accomplishing all on his lonesome.

You THINK he couldn't remove all of these federal departments because you've somehow disassociated the word "government" with anything except for the executive branch and think the government in its entirety is invested in the executive branch.

The president certainly does have the power to remove executive departments - because he is the head of the EXECUTIVE branch. This very ability to drastically (yet necessarily) cut down on institutions of government is testament to the fact that the bipartisan system you support has accumulated much to much power for the head of state.

That you think the president, the head of the EXECUTIVE branch, wouldn't be able to shut down EXECUTIVE departments is a ludicrous notion to me.

AnnEsthesia

Right. That is why Bush needed the approval and vote of Congress to set up Homeland Security. But you somehow think that while a vote was needed to create a whole department, it is not needed to get rid of it?

Right. That is why Bush needed the approval and vote of Congress to set up Homeland Security. But you somehow think that while a vote was needed to create a whole department, it is not needed to get rid of it?

A vote is needed to create a department because congress controls spending and money has to be allocated for the department to exist. The executive branch controls management, and if the president refuses to run a given department it doesn't matter how much congress spends on the department, if the president doesn't staff it, it won't exist.

It's all in the Constitution.
