My politics run somewhat towards the libertarian, except on enviro issues where I'm a bit of a lefty, but only when the enviros are right, which isn't always.

I like music, science, and generators. And I really like the emoticons this board has to offer!

Hi...What is this thing you have for Enya? And just a tip...the nice folks here on the left want to be referred to as "Democratics" NOT Democrats. I have no idea why.

P, you are making it up. Please show me a quote where I or any other democrat said to please not call us Democrats? We object to the NeoCon renaming of our party, but that is it.

No I'm talking about the Democratic party vs Democrat party.
I actually researched it, because I was curios once.
"Democrat party" was quite common before JFK, and Dem presidents routinely used the term.

It has become a huge issue now, especially post Lakoff, with the left,
because,
A) They don't like to be associated with rats. A little to close to home, I guess, and..
B) Since Democratic is a "process" it puts them on the side of Democracy, fairness, etc...They co-opted a 'process" for their nomicker to further fool and influence the public perception of them.
"Association" if you will.
All a bunch of head games IMO.

Their livid and obvious vitriol on being called the Democrat party is outrageous and quite humorous.[hr]Oh, yeah, there is an entire task force employed by one of the Soros funded groups to monitor news org that use the term "Democrat Party" and admonish them with their jack-boot tactics.
